Her professional career started as a GIS Coordinator at
New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department where she managed
the GIS implementation of 6 New Mexico County Assessor’s
offices. Since then she has been the principal
investigator on many GIS projects at NMSU’s Spatial
Applications and Research Center. In her current role
with MIRATEK she maintains and manages Fort Bliss’
Department of Public Works Environment Division’s enterprise
GIS. Other GIS related projects at MIRATEK include
development of GIS web applications, on-site data
development and software training, as well as remotely
sensed projects including processing imagery and LIDAR
datasets.
She now has 10 professional years in GIS technologies
specializing in GIS applications for cadastre,
environmental, water resource management, and data
administration. She has given many presentations at
GIS-related conferences and is the recipient of multiple
awards. Elizabeth is currently pursuing her M.A. in
Geography and earned a double major in Geography and Urban
Planning from New Mexico State University (NMSU). Outside
of work Elizabeth enjoys competitive cycling and running.
