Professional Experience Summary


Andrew Lotwin, MIRATEK Director of Operations for Washington, DC provides program management for Project Backstop, in support of the Rapid Equipping Force at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Project Backstop is a critical force protection program that is a part of the Counter Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (CRAM) program for U.S. Forces deployed in Iraq. In addition, he provides operational support and to all MIRATEK activities in the National Capitol Region as well as developing business opportunities in Washington, DC.

 

Andrew Lotwin spent over twenty years in the United States Army as a Military Intelligence officer and as an Army Acquisition officer. His acquisition experience includes a variety of positions working in the arena of Intelligence and Electronic warfare systems, with program management assignments developing the Predator UAV Radar, and fielding the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) ground station. Most recently, Andrew Lotwin was assigned as the Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, serving as a legislative liaison officer to the U.S. Congress. In this capacity, he provided oversight of all defense programs and policies, covering a portfolio of issues including Intelligence, Space, Special Access Programs, and Information Technology for the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
